Ontario Safety Week Brings Learning, Team Spirit and Workplace Safety Values to Life to Life at Bercon Rentals

Safety Week is about much more than a few scheduled events. It’s a chance to bring our equipment rental company values to life and reinforce, every single day on jobsites across Ontario’s construction and equipment rental industries, what matters most: keeping our people safe.

Safety isn’t just a priority that changes with business demands. It’s a core value that shapes our culture, guides our decisions and influences how we look out for one another. Every year, Safety Week helps strengthen that commitment through hands-on learning, team engagement and practical workplace safety education for Ontario crews.

Ontario Construction Safety Training Made Engaging

Here at Bercon Rentals, safety training is designed to be practical, interactive and relevant to the work our teams do every day across Ontario’s construction and industrial sectors.

Throughout the year, safety talks are led by managers, foremen and Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) members, helping create shared ownership of workplace safety across the company. Leaders also create engaging videos for employees working on the road and use online platforms to stay connected when teams can’t meet in person.

This year’s Safety Week focused on the “3 Rs” — Recognize, Respect and Respond — using real-world situations employees may encounter on Ontario jobsites or while operating rental equipment. 

By keeping discussions practical and relatable, employees walked away with safety knowledge they can immediately apply on the job.

Safety Jeopardy and Hazard Challenges Bring Ontario Jobsite Safety Training to Life

Safety-themed games like Safety Jeopardy tested employee knowledge in a fun and interactive way. Team members who answered correctly earned the chance to “pie a manager,” creating plenty of laughs while reinforcing important workplace safety messages. 

Special thanks to Michael, Adam, Daniel and Justin for volunteering to take one for the team.

Employees also participated in “spot the hazard” challenges that tested attention to detail in different workplace environments. Prizes were awarded to some of Bercon’s safety stars for their sharp eyes and strong safety awareness.

These activities helped make Ontario workplace safety training more memorable while encouraging participation from teams across the organization.

Building Stronger Teams Through Workplace Safety and Communication in Ontario

Throughout 2026’s Safety Week, group activities and shared experiences helped strengthen relationships across departments and crews. These connections matter because strong teams are more likely to speak up, support one another and help prevent incidents before they happen.

Creating a culture where employees feel comfortable raising concerns and looking out for coworkers is an important part of maintaining safe construction and equipment rental operations across Ontario.

Recognizing Ontario Employees Who Lead by Example in Construction Safety

One of the most meaningful parts of Safety Week was recognizing Bercon Rentals employees who consistently demonstrate safe work habits and leadership.

Team members had the opportunity to acknowledge coworkers who go above and beyond to promote workplace safety, take initiative and look out for others on the job. 

Celebrating these safety leaders reinforces that safe behaviour isn’t just expected at Bercon Rentals, it’s appreciated and valued.

Bercon Rentals Continues Promoting Safe Work Practices Across Ontario Jobsites

While Safety Week shines a spotlight on safety awareness, the goal is to carry that momentum forward throughout the year.
